According to UNICEF, this number grows by 5700 children orphaned daily. Although the cause varies from child to child, the result is the same: Hopelessness. After an orphan turns 18, they are often released from the orphanage with no more than a grocery bag of belongings to their name. The aged-out boys turn to gangs and delinquency for acceptance, while the girls are often forced into sex trafficking. But what if these children knew there was another option? At Hope Story Missions (HSM), we want those young men and women who may feel lost, scared, abandoned, and hopeless to find the peace, love, and hope that Jesus provides and give them a firm foundation on which they can build their new life and make a sustainable difference in their community and their country.
